You have the right to appeal the decision. It is difficult to say how long it takes before an application is approved/declined but experience show it can be anything from 6 months to 18 months (and even longer). The National Firearms Call Centre (+27 12 353 6111) can provide you with progress on your application. It is a 24-hour service. I find it easier to get help if I call after hours. Hi Michael
