I did not apply for the renewal of firearm license . I inherrated a hunting rifle and shotgun from my father , but have no use for it. What do I do . Can I hand it in at the SAPS ,and will there be a penalty or prosecution.

I am from Texas, USA and have a concealed carry license issued by the state of Texas and recognized by all states in the US that allow concealed carry. Would it be possible to get a South Africa handgun license for a future trip to SA, and/or would SA recognize my Texas license? Also, I have a friend who is a licensed firearm dealer (or collector maybe) in South Africa, and I am in possession of a carbine that he left with me many years ago. What would the procedure be to bring his carbine to him on my visit?
